Gazette Notification on “Capital Account Transaction (Overseas Equity Investment) Guideline, 2022

The Bangladesh Bank (BB) has issued a Gazette Notification on “Capital Account Transaction (Overseas Equity Investment) Rules, 2022 which provides a detailed guideline on determining the eligibility of investments and conditions to satisfy to invest in entities outside the boarder of Bangladesh.

The countries which are banned by the UN, EU and OFAC, Countermeasure by FATF and are not in diplomatic relation with Bangladesh are outside the scope of investment.

This is effective 26 January 2022.
