Amendment to tobacco cigarette packaging and bandroll/stamp regulations

The NBR has amended the rules for using stamps or bandrolls on tobacco cigarette packets. The amendment specifies that different types of packaging, based on their maximum retail price (MRP) and design, will require either a stamp or bandroll. The updated rules categorize cigarette packets into different price brackets (60, 80, 140, and 185 and above), with specific requirements for stamp or bandroll use depending on the wrapper type and design. These changes are effective immediately.
