Filing income tax returns of individual taxpayers online through electronic mode

All finance companies in the country to comply with the NBR’s requirement for online filing of income tax returns by natural persons, as outlined in a letter dated October 22, 2024. The NBR has made it mandatory for specific groups, including government employees in certain regions, employees of scheduled banks, mobile telecom service providers, and staff of major companies like Unilever, British American Tobacco, and Nestlé to file their income tax returns via the e-tax portal.
