Prohibiting the Presence of Non-members at the Board Meetings of Banks
BRPD Circular Letter No. 23 issued on December 26, 2013 emphasized that only directors, managing directors, and company secretaries should attend board meetings. However, it has come to the attention of Bangladesh Bank that external persons, officials, and shareholders are attending management and support committee meetings, leading to breaches of confidentiality. To address this, new instructions have been issued, stating that only invited members can attend such meetings.
